GPTW launches the 3rd edition of the ranking of the “Best Companies to Work for in Barueri and the Region”

O Great Place to Work (GPTW) launches today, the 30th, the ranking of the “Best Companies to Work for in Barueri and Region”. In its third edition, the 2017 ranking has 70 registered companies. Of these, 30 companies were awarded, 5 of which are large and 25 are medium-sized.

Companies from Barueri, Osasco, Santana de Parnaíba, Itapevi, Jandira, Carapicuíba and Pirapora do Bom Jesus competed. The organizations have, on average, been in existence for 25 years and employ just over 145,2 employees, with 10 of the winners employing employees outside Brazil, totaling 152 expatriates.

Among the employees, 51% are female and 49% are male. 44% have a university degree, 17% have a postgraduate degree and 39% have completed high school.

Approximately 13% of companies awarded in the ranking GPTW Barueri and Region carried out mass layoffs in the last year. Voluntary turnover accounted for 42% of the layoffs. On the other hand, only 6% of the employees of these companies had been hired in the last year. And 13% of the total employees received some type of promotion in the period.

Education

Investing in the training and qualification of their employees is a practice of most companies. 63% offer scholarships for language courses and 60% offer scholarships for specialization or postgraduate courses. 47% offer coaching or mentoring courses. Companies that have an Internal University total 43% and 17% of companies offer funds for their employees to invest in the development programs of their choice.

Satisfaction Indicators

For 72% of employees, companies pay them adequately for the services they perform. 68% consider the amount they receive as a share of the company's results to be fair and consider promotions made by management to be fair. 96% consider that people are treated well regardless of their color or race, sexual orientation, gender or age. And 92% are proud of the companies they work for.
