Mercado Eletrônico was elected one of the Best Companies to Work For by GPTW – São Paulo 2023. This year, 1.229 organizations registered to compete in the regional ranking, totaling 1,5 million employees. The awards ceremony took place in person on Monday (18) at the Tokio Marine Hall.
As in other editions of GPTW, some collaborators were present at the award ceremony.
In the medium-sized category, Mercado Eletrônico ranked 12th. The survey conducted with ME employees revealed a 91% satisfaction rate. This number reaffirms that our greatest value, people first, is experienced in the company's day-to-day activities.

Actions promote the strengthening of culture with a focus on people
In order to promote a welcoming and empathetic environment that prioritizes the well-being of employees, Mercado Eletrônico promoted some notable actions throughout 2023:
LGBTQIAP+ Pride Day
We celebrated International LGBTQIAP+ Pride Day in person and remotely. To expand the dialogue on inclusion and diversity, we invited inspiring people who have already experienced the positive results of respecting differences in the companies where they work.
Mother's Day
We prepared two special moments to celebrate Mother's Day: one in person and one online. At the in-person event, we surprised all the ME moms by bringing them together for a bus party including a tour of the city of São Paulo, a snack with everyone together and a moment of relaxation at the end. In the online event, we had a moment of meditation and reconnection guided by collaborator Mônica Thaumaturgo.
Father's Day
We took the parents from the Electronic Market for a fun and relaxed afternoon at La Plage Beach Tennis. In addition to the games on the open court, our employees were able to enjoy food and drinks, which made the celebration even more special.
Geek Pride Contest
We held the 3rd edition of Geek Pride in ME. This event confirmed that we have many creative people who are passionate about technology! 52 memes were created to participate in the contest, with 8 being selected by voting. The grand finale took place in a game of Escape 60. Mário Jerónimo, a collaborator from Portugal, finished the challenge in 1st place and won a PlayStation5.
Take care
Our online Take Care of Yourself sessions, with the participation of various guests and experts, address topics such as stress, anxiety, work-life balance, first aid, among other important topics for the well-being of our employees.
Live with CEO
Every two weeks, employees from all countries are invited to participate in a live broadcast with Mercado Eletrônico CEO Eduardo Nader. This is the moment when Eduardo and other directors share the company's latest developments. In addition, the space is open for questions and comments on a wide range of topics.
Quarterly Meeting
Every three months, we hold the Electronic Market Quarterly Meeting, which brings together employees in person and online to present the teams' strategies and results. The meeting is also a moment of recognition with the Top ME award to the employees who stood out the most during the period. In addition, at the end of the presentations, the ME offers the traditional happy hour.
Educational Incentive
Every year, we release the educational incentive benefit. Mercado Eletrônico employees are encouraged to use this resource for education, courses, events, workshops and even to purchase books related to their professional development.
These are some of the actions we have already taken this year and there is still a lot to happen in the last quarter.
