We have previously discussed here on the blog the the digital and sustainable transformation and exponential thinking. These two concepts have greatly influenced the lives of companies, both in the scenario of innovation and in that of large-scale technological evolution.
But to absorb new demands, tools and keep up with market technologies, it is necessary to reach “Digital Maturity”.
Have you ever heard of this term? Do you know what it is?
In this post, we will explain everything you need to know about the subject!
Digital Maturity X Digital Transformation: do you know the difference?

These terms have different meanings. However, they are used in parallel in companies. Let's say that they complement each other to boost and improve employee performance and the company's results.
But, after all, what is digital transformation?
Digital transformation involves bringing together and integrating work operations and human capital into digital processes (and vice versa) to achieve greater savings, compliance, governance and collaboration. For this to happen in the best possible way, the company needs to incorporate technology as the center of its strategy.
In 2018 the Deloite published a study that revealed that 85% of company leaders believe that digital is important for business success.
Some research carried out abroad indicates that companies that treat digital transformation as an opportunity have around 26% more profit than their competitors.
As much as this data points to the efficiency of the digital revolution, the big challenge lies in implementation and adherence by the company's managers and employees.
This is where digital maturity comes in.
Do you know what it means?
The term is used to describe how adapted an organization is to compete in an increasingly digital, technological and connected environment.
A digitally mature workplace is one that has the right technologies to digitize and automate processes, and also knows how to get the best out of tools to optimize operations.
Therefore, maturity goes beyond the simple implementation of new technological tools.
It reflects the company's level of preparation, how well it can align the organization's strategy, workforce, culture and resources to meet the digital expectations of customers, employees and partners.
This is a continuous and lasting process, as the world is constantly evolving.
How is digital maturity in Brazil?

Recently, a survey conducted by ESPM, in partnership with Colleman Parkes Research, pointed out that only 31% of Brazilian companies can be considered mature in the digital sphere.
The study shows that companies present in the country are at different levels of digital implementation and, consequently, do not have a satisfactory level of maturity.
It is clear that there is a long way to go, but with technological advances and a lot of study, this evolution will certainly happen in a short time.
However, this transformation cannot be limited to leaders alone. A company that seeks digital maturity must integrate all employees, from all sectors.
This journey has already begun, but we cannot say whether any of them have fully reached this condition.
What about your company? Does it already understand the importance of digital transformation? What is its level of maturity?
