A program designed to promote diversity in technology

DiversiDEV is a program aimed at young people and adults, aged 18 or over, with completed high school education, residing in Brazil, passionate about technology and digital culture, with no experience in the technology area required.

According to Armando de Vilhena, Director of Engineering and Operations at Mercado Eletrônico, the objective is to promote a diversity program that is effectively relevant to society and that has a very strong inclusion character.

We didn't want a program that would offer thousands of vacancies and rely solely on the individual efforts of those who already have to do their best to support themselves, but rather a close, human program that would provide structure, compensation and support from the first day of study. We want participants to be able to truly stop what they are doing and dedicate themselves fully to the success of a new career, without affecting their livelihoods or those of their families, who often depend on these young people.

DiversiDEV program classes

The program's classes will be 100% online and live, from Monday to Friday, in the afternoon, from 2 pm to 6 pm. There will be a total of 14 hours, with completion scheduled for August 17, three months after the start of classes.

Once registered, candidates have until April 7 to complete the logic test. From April 08 to April 04, candidates will have access to an online course, a preparatory stage for the online challenge, which must be completed between April 18 and 04.

Successful candidates, as well as those who are also applying for an internship position, will be interviewed by the Mercado Eletrônico team. Enrollment will take place from May 9 to 13 and the course is scheduled to begin on the 16th of that month.

In the case of those selected and hired as interns, it is a prerequisite to be in the 1st to 3rd year of any college. Candidates from minority groups will be given priority: women, black people, trans people and/or those aged 50+.

The 20 internship vacancies

The same selection process for the scholarship program is also valid for the 20 internship vacancies.

During the course, the scholarship for selected interns will be R$1.500, increasing to R$2 after training, and may result in their hiring as a junior analyst.

Registrations can be made until 07/04 here.
