Mercado Eletrônico has just been elected by Great Place to Work as one of the 150 best companies to work for in 2019. With a 90% satisfaction rating in a survey conducted with employees, ME stands out in the Brazilian scenario and reinforces its “People First” value.
The GPTW is held in 53 countries and lists, in its rankings, the companies that offer a standard of excellence and transformative work environments to their employees. This year, 2645 were evaluated and only 150 received the trophy. Mercado Eletrônico was once again awarded the prize. Best Companies to Work For Ranking – Multinational Mediums 2019. The event took place this Monday (12/08), in a ceremony at Espaço das Américas for 1,4 people, in São Paulo (SP).
GPTW for two consecutive years
The company received the recognition and stood out by defining strategies that include aligning the company's objectives in communication with its employees, in addition to the DiverseME initiative, which aims to foster respect for differences among employees, guided by the value “People First”. According to Adriana Oliveira, HR Director at Mercado Eletrônico, standing out among so many companies reinforces how transparent communication of values and strategies positively reflects on employee engagement and the results of the GPTW survey. In 2017, the company won the GPTW in Barueri and Region and, for two consecutive years, it was elected among the 150 Best Companies to Work for in Brazil.
For Sandra Boccia, editorial director of Época NEGÓCIOS and Pequenas Empresas & Grandes Negócios, at the awards ceremony, “over the last few years, with the transparency of the internet, everything in the world of work has changed. It has never been so challenging to have a good atmosphere and remain attractive to new talent.” She adds, “you need to have a cool office, a good health plan, have a cause, make an impact, promote diversity and inclusion, generate engagement, and take real actions in favor of the environment and society as a whole. All of this at the same time and now, while goals are being met.”
Mercado Eletrônico has always been concerned with the quality of the work environment and the benefits offered to employees. In addition, the company's organizational strategy is based on three fundamental pillars: trust, engagement and productivity. Leaders are trained to convey trust to their employees, so that they are able to set goals and develop action plans.
