With the goal of bringing innovation and a fantastic experience to our purchasing users, our team of product experts will provide a new supplier recommendation functionality, to facilitate the quote creation process.
How will supplier recommendations work?
The supplier recommendation system was developed using advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning (ML) capabilities, seeking to learn and evolve with the behavior and usage of ME users when creating quotes.
From now on, after including the first supplier in your quote, our system will display a list of recommended suppliers according to the profile and needs of your order, thus increasing the supplier options for your purchasing process.
What are the steps to selecting a recommended supplier?
- When selecting the item and clicking on “Generate quote” (via Pending purchase), or via the “+Quote” button (to create a free quote), we proceed to the next quote creation page.
- When adding a supplier, the system generates a list of recommended supplier cards, as shown in the image below:
- After selecting the supplier, simply click on the “+“Add Selected to Quote”:
- “TAGs” were created to order and bring the most relevant suppliers in the recommendation, based on criteria such as last access, activity on the platform, etc.
- THE TAG “My Supplier” means that the recommended supplier is already part of your supplier base.
- THE TAG “Marketplace ME" means that the recommended supplier is registered in the Mercado Eletrônico database, but is not yet part of the buyer's supplier database, i.e., it is a supplier from the ME Public Marketplace and needs to be added to the My Suppliers database, following its existing registration/approval process in the company to, in the future, generate an order. Suppliers that are in the ME Marketplace can be added to the quote.
When will this feature be available?
We are currently rolling out this new functionality to our customer base in stages, but it will be available to all customers in the coming weeks.
