[RELEASE] 10 improvements that went live in November/2020 on the ME platform

2020 was a year of positive results for the Electronic Market.

Despite having been working 100% from home for over 275 days, we have produced a lot and developed a series of improvements to make our platform increasingly better and more intuitive for buyers and suppliers.

From January to December, the platform transacted R$109.095.810.085,24, made 20 million transactions, 6 million requests, 3 million quotes and 10 million orders.

These huge numbers were more than enough to inspire our team and create significant developments to make the work of B2B professionals better and more assertive.

Check out the latest improvements that went live last month and get ready, because 2021 will have even more news for you and your entire team!

 

1. Identification of the person responsible for registering the supplier

To facilitate the audit process, it is now possible to identify the person responsible for including a specific supplier in the private database.

The new feature offers more control and management of platform data.

For new registrations, it is also possible to view the information on the supplier's registration data screen.

Benefits of upgrading:

More information needed to perform audits efficiently.

Previously, the purchasing user could not see the person responsible for including the supplier in the private database (My Suppliers), which is important information for auditing purposes. With the change, the information will be displayed on the screen, within the supplier's private registry.

 

2. Free Public Quotation

Now, some selected quotation processes are available completely free of charge on the platform. This way, suppliers who do not yet have a Mercado Eletrônico plan can also respond to these price quotes.

The aim of this new feature is to increase the number of new supplier options on the platform and, consequently, the number of responses in the processes.

Benefits of upgrading:

Increase in public quotations responded to by suppliers and, consequently, more response options for buyers, providing the possibility of new business for suppliers and expanding the base of business partners for buyers.

 

3. [New Home] Document expansion in a new tab

In response to requests, the document expansion functionality has evolved and now, when clicking on the “Expand Document” link, located in the top right corner, the platform user has the content open in a new tab in their browser.

 Benefits of upgrading:

Previously, the document was displayed in a pop-up within the portal. Now, it can be viewed in a different tab, making it easier to use, view and, of course, work on a daily basis.

 

4. [New Home] New “Purchasing Group” column in the Orders grid

You now have access to the optional “Company” column, which displays the “Purchasing Group” list in the Orders grid. In addition, the Orders grid includes new information about the related document, such as Invoice and Delivery Status.

More data and ease in identifying items and managing the same “Purchasing Group” on the grid.

 

5. [New Home] New columns with the possibility of generating graphs

To facilitate process control and data management, the new update of the ME platform offers the possibility of creating graphs from the columns available in the grid.

To create a graph, simply hover your mouse over the desired column and click on the graph icon that will appear (see image below).

Greater visibility and efficiency in process management. You and your team stop wasting time on manual controls.

 

6. [New Home] Creating new processes

The Mercado Eletrônico UX team added the option to create processes directly using the “New” button on the New Home page, in addition to the possibility of starting Regularization Requests and Formalization Requests.

For users who have these permissions, the features will be available automatically.

Benefits of upgrading:

Ease and speed when creating processes in Nova Home. The number of steps to open Regularization Requests and Formalization Requests has been reduced to increase your day-to-day performance.

 

7. [New Home] New smart columns in the Orders grid

From now on, the Orders grid has two new pieces of information about the related document:

  • Invoice Status, which informs whether that order is fully, partially or without billing.
  • Delivery Status, which contains information on whether the order is fully, partially or without receipt, and creates filters and graphs using the information.

Benefits of upgrading:

Improved reading of information within columns.

 

8. [New Home] Easily Find Emergency Requests

In addition to the icon that indicates whether the request sent is an emergency, the UX team added a new filter to the Purchase Pending, which makes it possible to filter by emergency or non-emergency requests, facilitating the search and control of processes.

Benefits of upgrading:

Ease of listing and viewing emergency requests.

 

9. Quote header redesign

To make it easier to view priority quote information, we have worked on redesigning the header to display this information prominently.

In the evolution of the document interface, the reformulation of the quote header stands out, which received general information such as General Status, Dates and Delivery Address, in the case of customers who use this information in the quote.

The update is now available and can be viewed when accessing any quote document.

Ease and speed to identify key quote data.

 

10 Order screen updates

In addition to gaining a cleaner look, the Orders screen received tags that signal items that have been changed or are new in the order.

From now on, the order interface is closer to the model received by the supplier, which also includes item flagging tags.

Improved reading of items on the order screen and more information about item updates with tags.
