To celebrate the achievements of 2021, Mercado Eletrônico promoted special actions for the end of the year. At the beginning of December, the Human Resources team prepared a drive-thru from Christmas.
Employees went to the ME headquarters, in Vila Olímpia, in São Paulo, with their own car or an app-based vehicle, to pick up a surprise gift and a Gift card worth R$200. Santa Claus was also present at the event and was an attraction for the children of those who work at the company.
And to celebrate with all employees, including those in other states and countries, the company prepared a 100% online event.
The guest was the illusionist Eduardo Braz, founder and president of the League of Magicians. In addition to the performance, the party featured prize draws and a short Thursday (all professionals were released from work early).
“We also reimbursed teams to meet up and continue with the parties. Some opted for lunch, barbecue, bowling, happy hour, others for online celebrations. We try to meet all needs. It’s a time to meet people, but continue to take care of ourselves,” says Adriana Oliveira, Human Resources Director.
Fraternization is also solidarity
Mercado Eletrônico’s end of the year is also marked by solidarity. For Christmas, the company once again ran a campaign called “Adopt a child”.
Adoption is done individually or in groups, depending on the teams. The initiative was proposed by Tatiana Marina, a Projects employee who has been a volunteer on the project for 9 years.
This is a way of looking inside the teams, observing who is interested in carrying out social work and supporting these people.
“I’m very proud of what we did this year. We had a drive-thru to receive the gifts and then they were delivered. Every child deserves to receive a gift. We always think about how to bring them joy,” adds Adriana Oliveira.
Several events marked the year 2021
Throughout 2021, 47 online events were held with Mercado Eletrônico employees, including debate panels, various parties, women's month and quarterly meetings with happy hour.
Another action is the live with Eduardo Nader, CEO of the company. In total, there were 21 live sessions to discuss the company's strategy, receive news and answer questions from professionals.
Together, these actions help reinforce Mercado Eletrônico’s main value: people first.
