October 30th was reserved for the Electronic Market Quarterly Meeting, an event that presents the results of the last quarter to all employees and takes the opportunity to outline objectives for the future.
When the quarantine began in mid-March, we thought that by October we would be in full swing with our in-person events. Unfortunately, this has not yet been possible, but we remain confident that soon we will all be together in the office to celebrate the results and team news in person.

A year of great achievements for the Electronic Market
As usual, Mercado Eletrônico CEO Eduardo Nader started the quarterly meeting and, fortunately, with good news: the company's excellent performance in 2020.
Despite all the challenges, both in the market and in remote management, ME started new projects, won clients and hired more professionals to deliver increasingly better and personalized solutions to the inter-company segment.
It is a fact that 2020 was a year of economic, political and social instability, but, fortunately, with a lot of engagement and commitment, we reached the time of year where we look with joy at everything that has been achieved and with optimism for what lies ahead.
Another GPTW in the account and the great result of the company's climate
And speaking of achievements, on October 19th Mercado Eletrônico received another award GPTW entered, for the third consecutive time, the list of the 150 best companies to work for in Brazil.
Adriana Oliveira, HR Director, presented the results of the Climate Survey, which is carried out quarterly and helps identify the level of satisfaction of professionals, both in relation to the company and in their day-to-day activities, and our result shows that our organizational environment is excellent!
He also highlighted the ME Ensina training project and concluded by recalling the latest HR initiatives, which included the Covid drive-thru, kids day, to give gifts to employees' children up to 12 years old, onboarding of new talents and the online baby shower.
The importance of OKRs (objectives and key results)
Adriana took advantage of the meeting to talk about the importance of OKRs (objectives and key results).
The methodology, which was created by Andrew Grove, former CEO of Intel, is applied within the Electronic Market and aims to define the main objectives of the company and each of its employees.
The director stressed the importance of defining objectives on a quarterly basis. After all, they are what guide the company and its employees to work focused on the strategy, in addition to helping the organization grow sustainably.
Customer Satisfaction
The project team highlighted the importance of providing a fantastic experience for our customers and presented projects for the next period to continually improve the satisfaction of our users.
The results of the Customer Satisfaction Survey were then presented, with the results and lessons learned from the quarter.
International
The teams from Portugal, the USA and Mexico presented their results and projects to support accelerated expansion in all countries, even with the global crisis we are facing due to the pandemic.
Marketing launches several free materials for the B2B market
Klyvian Flores, ME's marketing manager, presented the area's excellent results and all the actions the team is developing to generate more content, knowledge and professionalization for B2B commerce.
In the last quarter, in addition to live sessions with renowned clients, the company participated in major industry events: ConectaSul and Inbrasc's Jornada Supply Chain. Both took place 100% online, and presented lectures and debates to the public on the importance and function of the supply chain in the new global scenario.
To conclude her presentation, the manager also commented on the various free materials that the Marketing team produced to talk about digital transformation in purchasing, the skills of the buyer of the future and even tips for standing out in selection processes. Check them all out here.
Alpla speaks at the Quarterly Meeting
In this edition of the Quarterly Meeting, Murilo Zappellini, head of procurement for South America at Alpla, was invited to give a talk and talk to all employees.
Alpla, a ME customer, is an Austrian company with over 60 years of experience and is a leader in the production of innovative packaging systems. It has over 20.900 employees, 181 facilities and is present in 46 countries on 4 continents around the world.
The company chose to centralize its purchases and, to control its processes, which are many, it chose to use the E-procurement, Reverse Auction, CLM and Supplier Management solutions from Mercado Eletrônico.
During the chat, Murilo spoke about the factors that led to the choice of Mercado Eletrônico, the benefits achieved and highlighted his expectations to evolve and create rollout opportunities for other countries.
In addition, Alpla's head of procurement spoke about the importance of digitalization in the current scenario, the leading role of purchasing leaders in 2020 and all the opportunities that are yet to come in the sector.
It was certainly an enriching chat for everyone.
Presentation of agile teams
The 11 agile teams from Mercado Eletrônico also presented themselves at the quarterly meeting.
Fabrizio Tassitano, Director of Products and Marketing, opened the session and highlighted the evolution of maturity and the coordinated work of the teams to promote the continuous evolution of the platform.
The leaders of each team showed the latest projects implemented and the improvements that are being made to make ME solutions cleaner, more intuitive and practical for all users of the platform.

- Evolution of usability of viewing transactional documents
- Ability for the supplier to manage users in the Marketplace
- Shipment notice and delivery planning by supplier
Top ME
In order not to lose the habit of recognizing the highlights of the quarter, the event ended with the TOP ME of Q3-2020, who won a gift voucher to spend in several stores in Brazil.

And to close the event and celebrate the incredible results of the year, we had an online Happy Hour with lots of fun and good food!
All ME employees received a R$80,00 voucher on a delivery app so that everyone could prepare their happy hour. A quiz game was also held and the employee who got the most answers right won an Alexa.
