For the 3rd consecutive year, Mercado Eletrônico is elected one of the Incredible Places to Work.
The Incredible Places to Work award is an initiative by UOL, in partnership with FIA, to recognize the work environments best evaluated for their organizational climate.
In total, 140 companies won the 2022 award. The event, online and live, took place this Friday, September 09th.
Behind the award, all employees – including board members and managers – participate in a survey, which covers topics related to people satisfaction, people management practices, leadership and the CEO.
ME employee satisfaction level reaches 94,5%
According to the FIA and UOL survey, 94,5% of employees are satisfied working at Mercado Eletrônico; 96,6% believe that the company provides autonomy and allows innovation; 95% perceive quality of life at work and 96,8% see ESG – an acronym for environmental, social and governance – as one of ME's commitments.
For Adriana Oliveira, Director of People & Management at ME, winning the Incredible Places to Work award reinforces one of the company's core values: “People First”.
“People are at the center of Mercado Eletrônico’s strategy. Our teams are becoming increasingly agile, autonomous and intelligent. Leadership is changing, paying attention to the different factors that involve people’s individual characteristics,” says Adriana Oliveira.
Diversity increases creativity and innovation in the ME
The pandemic and remote work have definitively changed the routine of companies. Mercado Eletrônico sought to quickly adapt to the new scenario, prioritizing the protection and well-being of people, and continues to maintain the hybrid model.
“By hiring employees from all over Brazil and increasingly diverse teams, ME is managing to strengthen the culture of innovation, which is so important for technology businesses. There is the challenge of remote leadership, but seeing people happy at work is rewarding,” adds Adriana.
Investment in corporate education grows in ME
The culture of learning is increasingly present at ME. With the aim of revolutionizing the work routine of teams, this year, ME launched the Digital Transformation Program for 400 employees, in partnership with edtech Digital House.
The initiative has allowed all Mercado Eletrônico employees to participate in live classes and lectures, with topics on innovation, agile methodologies, artificial intelligence, and take advantage of the moment to exchange experiences and share knowledge.
In addition, we selected 30 scholarship students from all over Brazil for the Full Stack .NET Web Programming course, and 20 of them were hired as interns. During the course period, the interns were free to dedicate 100% of their time to their studies.
Mercado Eletrônico invited the teams to watch the awards ceremony online and cheer together. Everyone also received a delivery voucher to celebrate another achievement!
To the next! 😉
