This Friday, July 31st, another quarterly meeting of the Electronic Market took place.
And although the vast majority thought this meeting would happen in person, we still had to do it virtually.
The company's more than 200 employees met on an online platform to learn about the teams' results during the last quarter.
As always, Eduardo Nader, CEO of ME, began the presentation, but this time with something new: the company's surprising growth, even in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
This shows the relevance (and urgency) that digitalization is currently gaining in purchasing teams and B2B supply.
Check out a summary of the main moments of the meeting now!
Climate Survey satisfaction rates increase during quarantine
Adriana Oliveira, HR director at ME, presented the company's climate survey and communicated the main news and updates to all employees.
The research was also carried out, for the first time, at Mercado Eletrônico offices abroad (USA, Mexico and Portugal).
In Brazil, even amid the pandemic and with employees working remotely, all satisfaction rates increased. The result was a surprise, since no one has met in person for 5 months. Adriana highlighted the daily efforts of HR and managers to keep employees constantly informed, engaged and satisfied.
In the 3 usual questions – (1) are you satisfied with ME? (2) would you recommend ME to relatives and friends? (3) are you proud to say you work at ME? – the rates were quite high: 94%, 97% and 97% respectively.
This quarter, Mercado Eletrônico also received the GPTW Mulher 2020 and entered the list of the best companies for women to work for in Brazil.
Online events keep the team together and engaged
Even from a distance, our team has been meeting at online events, which HR has been promoting since the beginning of social distancing.
In addition to the quarterly meeting and the biweekly live with CEO Eduardo Nader, HR promoted several creative and interactive events in the last quarter.
Among the highlights are “Chef at Home”, a live broadcast with the company’s VP, Luiz Gastão Bolonhez, who taught all employees how to make a quick and delicious risotto in real time; Chá Fralda, which brought people together to celebrate the arrival of some employees’ children with several fun games; and Arraiá ME, which brought together employees dressed up to celebrate one of the coolest parties in our country.
Agile methodologies help improve processes in the Electronic Market
The Products area presented the team's evolution in developing increasingly faster, customizable and simple solutions for the B2B market.
To make this possible, agile methodologies are being widely used by teams to promote faster and more assertive value deliveries to customers.
Within agile development, two phases stand out: design thinking and sprint design.
In the design thinking process, the client is involved in several stages, with the aim of the Mercado Eletrônico teams understanding their problem and how our solutions can help them.
In design sprint, the process is cyclical. Each day of the methodology is reserved for creating, designing, prototyping and testing a new idea. The methodology lasts 5 days and offers companies the chance to create something from scratch in a short space of time.
ME Lives continue to present rich content for the B2B market
Klyvian Flores, Marketing Manager at Mercado Eletrônico, showed the actions that his team of professionals has taken to get closer to customers and offer the B2B market content that is always relevant.
The ME lives, which have been taking place weekly since April, have already brought together 17 renowned clients and professionals from the market to address different topics for the most varied segments.
Atvos, JBS, Cinemark, Hospital Sírio-Libanês and Lojas Marisa are just some of the names that appeared on Mercado Eletrônico's live streams.

Atvos' VP of Supply, IT and Communications participates in the Quarterly Meeting
Genésio Couto, VP of Supplies, IT and Communications at Atvos, was the guest client at this quarterly meeting to share his experience with ME employees.
For 12 years, Atvos has been producing and selling ethanol, sugar and electricity from biomass. Founded in 2007, the Odebrecht Group company is focused on creating value for all stakeholders, aiming to be a productive, competitive and sustainable company in the sector in which it operates.
Atvos chose Mercado Eletrônico as a partner for the digital transformation of the company's supply chain. By using Mercado Eletrônico's e-Procurement platform, Atvos achieved productivity, cost reduction, improved relationships with suppliers and process traceability.
More than just talking about the company and business, Genésio gave an inspiring presentation and addressed topics such as career and leadership. With over 30 years of experience in HR at Odebrecht, the executive gave tips on how to develop professionally, become a good leader and inspire in the day-to-day work.
Your presentation even received a round of applause online. Thank you, Genésio!
User Experience Evolution Program and presentation of agile teams
Diogo Morgado, Product Owner, presented the User Experience Evolution Program, which was developed over the last quarter. The idea behind the project is to update customers on all the improvements and innovations happening on the Mercado Eletrônico platform.
To unify all the information, the Marketing team created two new specific areas on the ME Blog: one dedicated to Buyers and another to Providers. Users can follow all the news that the teams of UX (User Experience) experts and projects have developed to make the daily lives of professionals more pleasant, simple, productive and strategic.
The program's first improvements included a new layout for the order page, buttons and platform font, giving it a cleaner look. It also has a new navigation bar with easy access to the main features and a new home page with two viewing modes.
To end the day, each agile team made their presentation and showed the team's health, metrics, objectives for the last quarter and those for the next period.
