Mercado Eletrônico held today (04/10) the Quarterly Meeting for the last quarter of 2021 (Oct-Dec), also adding the results of the year and expectations for 2022.
Eduardo Nader, CEO of Mercado Eletrônico, thanked the teams for the results achieved in the company, which registered growth of around 30% compared to 2020.
The international expansion of ME, which operates in Portugal, Mexico and the USA, and the integration with the operation in Brazil, was also one of the highlights of the period.

The new digital journey for ME employees
People first is Mercado Eletrônico’s main mission. That’s why, for 2022, one of the new features is the “Jornada Digital ME” program, in partnership with the Digital House school.
All employees will have access to training on topics related to the world of technology, such as agile methodologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics, among other courses.
The program will also select 20 interns – new digital talents – and 10 scholarship holders, including 5 scholarships for family members of employees, to complete the full 180-hour training.
The proposal of the new digital journey is to strengthen the technological competence of teams, business intelligence, in addition to evolving the diversity of the team and its culture of innovation.
People & Management and diversity and inclusion goals
The former Human Resources area of the ME adopted a new name: People and Management, with a focus on promoting the main mission of the Electronic Market: people first.
In the presentation, the director, Adriana Oliveira, recalled the events held over the last year, to bring employees closer together, in addition to the main awards won: GPTW TI, GPTW Woman, GPTW Brazil e Amazing Places to Work.
For 2022, Mercado Eletrônico has created diversity and inclusion goals. The aim is to have more women (including in leadership), black people, brown people, trans people and people aged 50+.
Global Marketing Strategy
The Marketing area highlighted the inclusion of Mercado Eletrônico in Gartner. ME was the only Latin American company to achieve a position in the P2P Magic Quadrant in the last two years. The consulting firm is one of the most respected in the world and annually publishes important reports on innovation and technology.
In addition, Marketing Director Klyvian Flores announced the company retrospective, with important team numbers, and recalled the ME B2B Summit 2021, which took place 100% online, received more than 2.600 registrations and distinguished attendance from professionals and speakers from the market.
For 2022, the area will strengthen its global marketing strategy, with integrated actions between countries.
Bridgestone is the guest of the Q4-2021 Quarterly Meeting
Pilar Arata, Bridgestone's Purchasing Manager in South America, and Viviane Bandeira, Bridgestone's Purchasing Coordinator, were guests at the event to comment on the ME's role in the company.
Viviane spoke about Bridgestone's main gains with the Mercado Eletrônico solution, including the automation of purchasing processes and compliance.
Pilar and Viviane also shared a little about the day-to-day activities of the company's purchasing teams and suggestions for continuous improvement of ME solutions.
Presentation of agile teams
Agile teams highlighted their project advancements to offer ME customers a fantastic experience, with more scalability, performance and security.
One of the highlights was the strengthening of integration between all teams, resulting in improvements to the journeys of buyers and suppliers on the platforms.

Every quarter, Mercado Eletrônico recognizes employees who stood out during the period, and who also receive a gift voucher as a bonus.
