Chat about purchasing and sustainability with EDP Brasil
The live “Sustainability in shopping: a concept that goes far beyond the environment” took place on June 23, at 17 pm, via YouTube. Watch the recording of the event here.
To talk about the topic, Mercado Eletrônico invited two big names: Dominic Schmal, executive manager of Sustainability at EDP Brasil, and Marcelo Pereira, specialist in supplier management at Mercado Eletrônico.
The conversation's mediator and VP of ME, Luiz Gastão Bolonhez, states that the actions aim to show that B2B purchases can cause irreversible impacts on society, if there is no quick action on the part of companies and, mainly, the supply area.
Sustainability in purchasing is directly related to the supply chain, so it is essential to manage your business partners responsibly and conscientiously. And there is only one way currently: using technology to intelligently manage supplier and third-party risks.
